The organ system is a really cool twist on stats/inventory.

That made it an immediate 10/10 would zoom around while shooting again experience for me. It's nothing crazy, but the addition of skiing (and the fact that the dev even calls it skiing) brought me right back to Tribes. I feel I also have to mention the movement system briefly.

You also get a literal finger gun that you can upgrade and reload by cracking your knuckles. You'll get your ass handed to you quite a few times ( especially by the bosses), but once you get used to the flow of combat (and take a lot of Killf*ck) it's amazing. Lore being explained too much can make a game feel very baby mode, so I'd rather take a game with this design. As someone who could spend hours deep diving on lore, I do wish there was more of it in game, but I also do like how mystical everything feels. I enjoyed all the side quests, and seeing how each NPC lives in their strange world is so interesting. There's so much to learn from talking to all the NPCs and reading terminals. I still feel I got my $20 worth, and I'm sure the dev will keep working to add more to this game (btw watch his dev logs, they really made me appreciate the game even more).Īs a fan of Trigun and Dune, the story really scratched the weird sci-fi /biopunk itch. While it does feel finished to me, and I'm satisfied with what I got, I'm so entranced with this universe that I would gladly take more content. A game I didn't except to become obsessed with it, but it's probably one of the most unique and fascinating games I've played in a while.īefore I dive into everything else, my only complaint is that the story isn't longer.
